RFI

Definition: Request for Information - An RFI is issued by the government when they need additional information such as existing commercial solutions and small businesses that may be able to complete the work. No contracts are issued from an RFI. The responses are used to refine a future proposal and can be used to determine whether to set-aside the proposal for a small business.
