Abrams M1 Tank

The Army M1 Abrams tank is the main battle tank for the US Army. It has the firepower, speed and survivability to be an offensive weapon. First deliveries to the Army were in 1980 and over 8,800 have been produced. The Abrams tank is so large and heavy that the C-5 Galaxy cargo aircraft can carry only one Abrams tank at a time. The Abrams tanks are built by General Dynamics Land Systems.
